MoronG Posted August 6, 2014 Author Report Posted August 6, 2014 Cause Id like to keep it trial rideable cause I'm joining a club nearby that do flat track an trials seeing as I won't be riding the shee at the beach no more Quote
sprinklerman Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Honestly, if it were me, and parts are hard to get as it sounds, I'd stick with a nice stock stroke 350. But if you want gobs and gobs of power for a play bike, it's hard to beat a 421 Serval. Not trying to derail a sale, it's just my opinion on the matter. You need to decide the primary use of the quad and pick an engine from there. Are you against sending the motor to the states and having it gone through? If it's fairly new, you probably have a bunch of bores left and could have a nice stock stroke 350 done . Just options. Quote
MoronG Posted August 6, 2014 Author Report Posted August 6, 2014 I I don't want to sound stupid but is a stock stroke 350 just a stock bike? I would like gobs of power too though..the use would be a little flat track trials an ripping in the straights..the thing with sendin to the states is shipping would be high return cost Quote
sprinklerman Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Going the stock stroke route you can buy ported stock cylinders and pistons with a matching head and bolt it on. If the crankshaft is in question, buy a crank at the same time and assemble yourself. You can expect a solid 70hp play bike. 1 Quote
sprinklerman Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 If you just want a complete motor..well it sounds like you already have a bead on one. Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Sprinkler I think that might be bait much but I don't know how much hp I can handle ..but John says the motor he's selling is exactly the same as yours? No…My 10 mil CUB is the same as his. That motor is WAY above your pay grade. LOL (So is a 90HP Serval) Quote
MoronG Posted August 6, 2014 Author Report Posted August 6, 2014 Yeah I'm going to have to think about it before I pick my bike up tomorrow but either way beats leaving it in the shed siting there broken anyway I need some sleep cheers sprinkler Quote

sprinklerman Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Either way, it's sounds like the best route is being more hands on , and keeping the dealer hands off! Quote
