Deathly Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I am buying a new quad this month, and i cant decide on what to buy. I already have a Shee, and I'm looking for a 4-stroke quad. Im either gonna buy a Predator, Raptor, kfx 700, or z400. I havent ridden any of these quads and would like your opinion on what i should purchase. Quote

My wives 440ex built by duncan hasn't had a problem since i bought it and built it. I've seen suzuki's and kawa's come apart at high revs with a 440 kit in though. Any 400 4-stroke stock is slower than christmas. thats my 2 cents Quote

My roomate has an 02, it was a dog at 1st, he put a full White Bro's exhaust on and I couldn't believe the difference. It was close to going from stock pipes to aftermarket on a banshee - night/day. I like his EX a lot, will probably get one or trade the g/f's shee for one if I find someone willing. They handle great & take some major abuse, and will run forever. + you can find damn nice used EX's for a lot less than you'll get a craptor, kfx(yuck), or predator though. Out of your choices, I'd go with the predator--as long as the seat stay's on you're good to go. But like Barracuda said....if ya can, go with a yfz! Quote

I like Hondas, I think they are some of the toughest quads built (not necessarily the fastest, but can take some serious abuse), but somebody better make some aftermarket front plastic for the TRX450R, it is just ugly as sin. Looks like a grasshopper on crack! I imagine fullbore will have some plastics for it that will be pimp. Doesn't really make a shit to me, I'd have a yfz over one any day of the week, eventhough I haven't seen or r. Has anyone seen any yfz fullbores?...if they have them. How do they look? Quote
