Uf21 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 When I add reeds, it doesnt say to go up on pilot, only when I add "aftermarket reed cage" is when it says to go one up to 32.5. Does vforce 4 come with reedcages or is stock one used? (dont know much about reeds...... yet). When I add timing plate, it says to go one up on main? From what I've been told on here, timing plate doesnt affect jetting. Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Timing may or may not. After every mod small or big a jetting check needs to be the first order of business Quote
Uf21 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 After every mod small or big a jetting check needs to be the first order of businessThat's where the issue lies. Where I ride is 4500 above sea level and 2 hours drive away. Where I live is sea level. So the only time I can check jets is when I go to our riding spot. So I'd rather be as close as possible to correct jetting so I can do a run on new plugs, take the plugs out and keep riding all day then when I get home I can chop the plugs I did a run with. Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 I would say it would be worth the jetting check at your riding spot. After the first time you could just swap jets before you leave to go ride and you'll know what jets you need. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Learn how to "read" plugs, even if you have to get an eye lope or lighted mag glass. Take extra jets/plug with you. Quote
