William Aguilar Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Okay I'm new to the forum just having some problems with my banshee and I did search first My problem is my banshee is not smoking as much on the right side and seems to be cold and poping well the other side seems fine and warms up it just barely did this as far as I know when I went to replace a idle screw on one side I've re synced the carbs like four times now checked spark plugs and swaped plugs did a finger test for compression and checked for fuel plus it will run on the right side by itself am I just paranoid and never noticed or is this a problem I just had the bike rebuilt last season by k&t Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Are the pilot jets clean? Are the air mixture screws both adjusted the same amount of turns open? Quote
William Aguilar Posted April 8, 2014 Author Report Posted April 8, 2014 Yeah I have them both at 2 turns and how would I know If the pilot jets are clean? Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Remove the carbs one at a time. Take it apart, remove the pilot jet, and main jet. Clean them good. Reassemble. Install, and repeat for the other side. Quote
William Aguilar Posted April 8, 2014 Author Report Posted April 8, 2014 Alright I'll give that a try tomorrow anything else I should try Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Start with that first, and see what happens. If that doesn't help, then you'll need to check for an air leak. The side not firing seems to be lean, so do check the easy stuff first. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 set float level while apart. Don't forget choke tube between carbs. Quote
William Aguilar Posted April 8, 2014 Author Report Posted April 8, 2014 Well I know it's firing cause it will run on that one side by itself and choke tube was fine Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk Quote
