Stylemaster Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 ok heres the deal i am working on getting my exaust setup done and the airfilter that used to be on my toomey 2 into 1 now rubs the exuast so im going to size up a K&N from the website but if i got one say 6" tall or so and cut the plastic under my seat and took out some of the foam right there made an aluminum insert to go where the hole was (make it a bit bigger around than the airfilter) think this would work? boonman Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 It would work, but the seat would be harder than !@#$%^&*. I wouldn't suggest doing that. Quote
. Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 yeah, you might end up with an airfilter up your ass Quote
Holyman Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Wrap your pipes in header tape or silicone hose and then put your 2:1 on. Should be no prob then. Quote
evil Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 filter up your ass !!!! thats funny abyss ! why not just get some pod style clamp ons ? Quote
Stylemaster Posted November 15, 2003 Author Report Posted November 15, 2003 well my problem is i modified my exhaust pipes so now there bolted under my seat (made a braket that bolts to where the computer was, thats now screwed to teh plastic where the toolbox went under the seat the toolbox well is cut out to clear the silencers) and the stinger pipes are in teh way of pod style unless i get some pos that are angled at the clamp so i can angle them inwards. like a v or something... that exhaust wrap will work even if the filter is touching the stingers? i know what your talking about its a cloth like stuff highlifter sells it with their heat fighter kit right? cause if that will work i can take a trip down to teh canadian tire and pick up enough to wrap em and somehow wedge the filter in. Holyman Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 Yeah that sounds like the right stuff. Wrap that stuff on there and then wrap some aluminum foil or something around it just to make sure. You should be OK. Quote
