Atvrider_96 Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I took of my E-brake assembly and put on a new clutch lever on. At the same time i put on new silencers. When i took it out it would wine out but you would feel like you were not going any where. ( I know that it is stupid that i just put on new silencers but my pipes will be bought in a couple weeks) Please tell me what i should do Thanks Quote
ledofthezep Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 When you took off your stock perch, did you clip the wires or did you disconnect the connector on the left side of the tank? Quote
Atvrider_96 Posted November 12, 2003 Author Report Posted November 12, 2003 I did neither i am not sure what wire you are talking about there was not a wire conected to the perch. But what you are talking about is probly my problem please let me know what you are talking about Quote
Justintoxicated Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Did you add the parking break block off near the brake disk? If not thats probably your problem. Also if you look next to the fuel tank on the left side, there is a little black box, you may want to disconnect that also, but you need the block off and then I don't think that plug will matter. ledofthezep Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 When you remove the stock clutch perch there are 2 wires that come out of it & go down into the plastic with all the other lines,...if you follow those wires, on the left side of your tank you will see a connector that needs to be disconnected. If you have a clymers, look in there & you'll see what I'm talking about. If you don't have the bible yet, get one... A guy who was at the dunes last weekend was having your problem, and he just replaced his stock perch & removed the brake. After watching him dick with it for over an hour I went over & asked him what was going on...he told me....I disconnected that plug & shee was back to normal! He was happy & I got a free 6er out of the deal. He had just clipped the wires & taped them together,...it worked before he loaded it up & went to the sand,...but disconnecting that plug was all he needed to do. Wish my problem was that easy...hehe Quote
