mcaf29
I noticed when I took my v-force reeds off there were special type of gaskets. Do I need these specific gaskets or will regular intake gaskets from a gasket kit work? I'm such a post whore tonight cause I just want Brown to show up now with all my fun toys. I also don't want to get all my parts and be hled up by something silly like a specialized gasket for my v-force reeds.
boonman
I have never heard of such things. Reed blocks bolt to the motor the same way no matter who the manufacturer is..... I think at least. I don't have hardly any experience with v force reeds though.... Only boyesen, TDR and FMF. Stock too of course..
Badbanshee_boy
do you mean b/c u have to shave the intake with the v force's? i have never had to use a special gasket, if it gets in the port jut use a knife and trim it so it doesnt go in the port
mcaf29
I just meant that the gaskets were alot wider(more surfeace area) than the regular intake gaskets. I should have snapped a pic. Maybe I got em still (I know they ripped though).
Meat
Just take your used V-force gaskets to the autoparts store and buy a sheet of gasket paper the same thickness as your used gaskets. Cost of a sheet of gasket paper is about a dollar, and you can cut about 4 or 6 reed cage gaskets out of one sheet.
