mfritz23 Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 today I was cleaning my chain and putting some chain wax and noticed a high squeal sounded like from the axle carrier it is a stock one with no grease fitting is this a indication for bad bearings? If so I was thinking of putting a whole new axle carrier in with twin row bearings good idea? bad idea? thanks any help is greatly appreciated Quote
Starwriter Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 Replace the bearings in the stock carrier or spend some bucks on a roundhouse swingarm and carrier. It's dumb to spend money on a stock style aftermarket carrier. Quote
mfritz23 Posted January 21, 2014 Author Report Posted January 21, 2014 thanks starwriter is the roundhouse easy to install ive never seen one in person just online Quote
sheerider11 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 thanks starwriter is the roundhouse easy to install ive never seen one in person just onlineIt's a whole swing arm. Not just a piece for the stock one Quote
mfritz23 Posted January 21, 2014 Author Report Posted January 21, 2014 thanks guys one more dumb question is the round style the way to go I mostly trail ride a lil drag race here an there was thinking of getting a +4 swingarm anyways Quote
sheerider11 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Yes. Round house is the best choice Quote
Starwriter Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Roundhouse is MUCH easier to adjust the chain. Quote
