Phelps Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 uman what is your elevation? you're telling a guy @500ft that he should be fine with a 270 main and temps under 40... bare minimum 300. once you reach higher rpm's you drop the load therefor drop the need for as much fuel. (noticeably) mid throttle where the fuel is needed he is experiencing a lean bog. needle may help but it's not going to fix it. lean is lean a motor doesn't lie...... Quote
foxrider603 Posted December 8, 2013 Author Report Posted December 8, 2013 So leave the clip on number 4i an go with a 30040 main? Quote
O/CbansheeRider Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 I'd move clip to middle put in 300s to start. I'm sea level and think 300 to 320 is where I will be at. I had 310s but went to 300. Ran great but for safety I'm going richer. I've had my bike in woods up to about 1500 ft with 310s at 50 deg and ran good. Just my opinion but I'm no expert. If u can do a plug chop at wot that's the real way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
uman1030 Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 my actual reply was near the begining of this thread Not to say that the main shouldnt be increased but it doesnt sound like thats whats causing the issue at hand. I think you guys arent taking into acount that he has stock airbox, The lid and snorkle severly sufficate a banshee. im at about 900 ft above sea level and 300s were too rich on my bike last winter with stock airbox. i was running 280. since ive removed it and i run 340s in temps in the 10-20 range just removing the airbox made me jump like 6 jet sizes.
