Since my topic got moved to suspension, I have one other measurement question. With the bike in the air and the rear drooped out, what is the measurement from the dog bone mount at the frame to the link mount on the swingarm? I need these so I can get the geometry correct.

This is not going to work. See that big ass cross brace in the Blaster swingarm, right behind the pivot tube? That's exactly where the Banshee shock would need to go. You can't just cut that brace out or the swingarm will have the rigidity of a garden hose on a San Diego lawn in June. Even if you do somehow manage to pull this off, you will have a Blaster that rides like a truck, because the Banshee shock is sprung and valved for a much heavier bike. And you can't just have a suspension shop set up your shock for a Blaster with Banshee suspension.

thanks for the input. I am well aware of it. I will be getting a custom swinger built for this project. My blaster swingarm is being used as a mock up tool. It will be sent off the the builder to replicate the measurments. I won't be using the stock swinger.

But it's still going to have the 2 piece pivot tube with the engine mounted in between? OK, good luck.

do you ride dirtbikes? How does that swingarm bolt in? I do ride bikes. Have for years and know how to build bikes. Thanks for helping me out.
