↑↑↑ What he said. Or your clutch is burnt up. Or you are mixed up on what engaged and disengaged mean. Buy a Clymer manual and then tear into it. If you're too cheap to pay Clymer for their efforts of printing the book, you're too cheap to own a Banshee.

I have the manual

Great. Now read every bit of the clutch section, check your adjustments according to the manual. If you still have problems, disassemble the clutch and inspect for the pressure plate assembled wrong or worn parts.
