LT ROOKIE Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 I just picked up a 535 cheetah that was drag ported by k&t and was ran on c12 gas. I want to convert it to alky for 1/8 mile asphalt. It has a one piece head with non removable domes. The squish was around 37 thousands with a 22 thousands base gasket. Can I run alky with the current domes and that tight of squish. If titan cut me new domes what squish and compression range should I aim for? The current setup ran 128mph in the 1/4 mile Quote
lms1977 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 Probably gonna need to know the squish band width and final compression ratio to figure out to mention dome profile shape. Quote
m671054 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 Tim will know based on what you want to do. He will need some measurements from you though like piston, rod, stroke, cyl height, deck height. then he can cut what ever you want. if you degree it before tear down you can adjust timing if needed with the base gasket. i have a head shell id sell if interested lmk. LT ROOKIE Posted August 24, 2013 Author Report Posted August 24, 2013 Can I run alky on the domes that were setup for gas? If you have the new style dm shell I will buy it. Quote
10milmike Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I have never seen a one piece head for a 535 post a pic. I know kim use to make a billet head. Quote
LT ROOKIE Posted September 6, 2013 Author Report Posted September 6, 2013 Will try to post pics. It looks like the stock cheetah head but the domes do not come out Quote

m671054 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Old heads were one piece just like a stock head. i ran one on a 74.5 bore. Then the went to removable. now they have the dm style. Quote
10milmike Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Well learn something new everyday. I had the old style head on my set up. And bought the DM style a few years back. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 Quote
