Banshee idle off

Hello fellow banshee ryders im new to this forum and i just got an 01 banshee thats giving me some idle problems (i think) bike turns on and rides fine only thing is bike wont idle i have to keep accelerating to keep her on.... And my other problem is when im riding and i click the clutch to shift it sounds like the bike shut off when i press the clutch.... Its has fmf pipes and mikuni carbs

Ur pilot circuit in ur carbs is lean. If it does not have a 27.5 pilot i would start there. Clean those carbs and be sure that pilot passage is open. Then sync the carbs and make sure ur little choke/cross tube is on tight.

K i will try that then i was gonna clean the carbs out anyways but any suggestion on the clutch issue or its acting up cuz theres a fuel problem?

If you're not familiar with the Banshee carbs and you plan on cleaning them do yourself a favor and disassemble them one at a time, it'll more than likely save you some headaches in the long run. There are a couple of parts that are not interchangeable between the carbs so if you get them mixed up you'll create a whole new set of issues. As already stated don't forget to put the choke tube back in place, and make sure slides are facing the right way when you put them in...

Yea im familiar enough with it to take out clean and replace ima check the middle hose as well cuz that liftle bogging is killing me... Thanks guys will hopefully be running at full speed by this weekend

TORS system is messed up.... Start by disconnecting ALL the TORS sensors and the little black box under the fuel tank... Then report back...

Ima take them out one at a time so ill get back to you after I clean them and have them back in

x2 on eliminating this. As said disconnect the carb sensors and unplug that control box under the fuel tank. I think its on the LH side.

Fellas ima do the carbs this weekend what am i looking for on the carbs i know you said TORS anything specific im looking for?

unplug the TORs control module under the fuel tank (3 wires running to it). as far as ur carbs disassemble them fully. spray carb cleaner through the pilot orifice and make sure the passages are clean. Same with the other passages and jets. Make sure you do this on a clean work area and reassemble carefully. Jets are brass, dont tighten them like lug nuts lol anyhow, take your time, use a good quality cleaner like gumout and have faith.

Lol got you ill do everything calm and easy last thing i want is a stripped screw in my carbs.... So basically im just cleaning out my carbs and then reconnecting everythin and hopefully it just needed a cleaning?

Johnny boy i took the carbs apart cleaned them up with carb cleaner and reinstalled i didnt find those 3 wires you were talking about i dont think my shee came with tors (unless they come stock) and i couldnt find it.

Johnny boy i took the carbs apart cleaned them up with carb cleaner and reinstalled i didnt find those 3 wires you were talking about only cables i saw are 2 that connect to the top of my carbs but i think those are for the throttle increase.... (The other reply was written wrong)

If you just have two cables on top of ur carbs right into the caps the TORS has been deleted. If you have 2 large control boxes on top of ur carbs with 2 wires, one black the other yellow and black, are your TORS units. There is a black module with 3 wires going to it somewhere in your harness and that is your TORS module - if it is NOT present than maybe a previous owner deleted it already. Generally the box is mounted under the fuel tank on the lh side if you are sitting on the bike. Out of curiosity have you tried running the bike since u cleaned ur carbs?
