anyone know if they sell a kit to re-tap the threads on the end of the tranny where the sprocket goes, or tricks and tips to re-tap it without pulling it all out? something simple rather than everything having to come out?

Just buy a new shaft from the stealership.. it would probably be too big of a hassle to get it tapped. One you would have to cut all new threads which makes your old sprocket nut useless. How did you strip the shaft anyway

That shaft and nut are designed such that the nut should strip out before you pull the threads on the shaft. Check and make sure that what you thing are bad threads on the shart are not in fact simply the old threads out of the nut. Those soft threads in the nut can be pulled off and making the shaft look stripped when it is not.

Any local machine shop should be able to do that cheaper than working with a dealership. If that fails go to Harbor Freights website, they have everything to do anything.
