Chemical Castration Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I saw Fro's bike yesterday and the krylon looks pretty good. Of course you can get a much better finish from buying better paint. But for the price it really isnt so bad. Quote
Oilsmoke Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I really like it. Drys fast, bends better than other type paints. The pigments are plastic based. I used black to repair my cracked to hell nose plastic and some engine water pump cover and the clutch cover and the flywheel covers and there looking ok, there worn but are holding up great. I plan on a repaint next year. So it was a test. I will used it agian. Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 after one hard weekend of riding holding strong mine came out pretty glossy but with a spray gun and correct painting shit you can get alot better final finish Quote
TheNewGuy Posted November 3, 2003 Author Report Posted November 3, 2003 nice so it's pretty bendable (dunno if thats a word but thats ok)...and it'll hold up to some punishment...that's phat...im just debating on what colors to go with...i was thinkin of powdercoating my frame like a midnight blue...but dunno what color to put my plastics....any suggestions? Holyman Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I tried it on some spare plastic just to see how it will hold up to flexing. Seemed to do OK. And that was with about 6 layers of paint on dirty plastic with alot of aging. It will crack but it's got to have quite a bit of flex. Quote
TheNewGuy Posted November 3, 2003 Author Report Posted November 3, 2003 i cant wait to start tearing apart my bike now, i like painting stuff still any suggestions on paint colors? Mike Quote
