XSIVPWR Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 I just bought a 2002. I have been reading the tricks & mods people have done and performed a few so far. TORS removal with twist throttle, Ordered a idle kit, switched the orange & black wire on the coil (why do they do this from the factory & how does it help by switching?) Next? I am thinking of reeds, timing plate & sending head out to be milled. I did a compression test it has 107psi in both cylinders. I think that is not to bad seeing i am at 5000ft. Also, anybody know what brand pipes these are? Thanks. Quote
Sandking Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Why switch coil wires? And what's a idle kit? Do you mean some pilot jets. Edited July 13, 2013 by Sandking Quote
XSIVPWR Posted July 13, 2013 Author Report Posted July 13, 2013 It has been mention to look at the orange & black wire going to the coil. If the orange is on the - & the black is on the + switch then. When you remove the TORS the bike will not idle anymore, so you have to install idle screws. Quote
Sandking Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 Who told you that just take the TORS off and install the idle screw that comes in the delete kit. Quote
XSIVPWR Posted July 13, 2013 Author Report Posted July 13, 2013 I didn't buy a kit. when you install a twist throttle it come off then. Quote
XSIVPWR Posted July 13, 2013 Author Report Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Ok, I got dooped. DUH! I was wondering what this would accomplish. That is why I asked. (coil wires) Edited July 13, 2013 by XSIVPWR Quote

2strokeshees Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Those look like DG pipes. Post pic of silencers. Quote
XSIVPWR Posted July 15, 2013 Author Report Posted July 15, 2013 The silencers are toomys. But the pipes don't look like them (that i can tell) nor do they say t5 or t6 on them. Quote
chevota84 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 (edited) Maybe t3's? The expansion chamber doesn't look quite right though. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2 Edited July 15, 2013 by chevota84 Quote
chevota84 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I've got an old set of t3's, if you don't have a good answer by tomorrow afternoon I'll see if I can dig them out and get a better look. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2 Quote
chevota84 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Looking at this pic, I'm fairly certain you have t3's Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2 Quote
XSIVPWR Posted July 15, 2013 Author Report Posted July 15, 2013 Did they not put t3 on the chamber like t5 or t6? And if they are, are they any good at all, or should I start looking for something different? Quote

I have a set of t3s they do not have any markings on them. we had them on a mild ported stock strke and they run well. Quote
