What tranny to use?

I have a stock cyl 350 with a drag port but I sometimes dune...as of now I have a stock tranny and I am wondering what tranny to use? Override? Lockup? Can someone give me the inside on these thanks?

Lockup is in the clutch, its to add pressure to the disks to hold more power. Override is the tranny but I wouldn't do it in anything less than a dedicated drag bike and definitely not anything less than a dedicated sand bike.

I heard a duneable is a little more forgiving then a full override

It's more of a duner bike, the reason I ask is because it's on alky....how can u upgrade my stock tranny?

Not afraid want to shift better, because it's not a full drag bike but I do drag quite alot

The first thing to do is make sure all your parts are good. When I pulled mine apart I found that the shift shaft bore was ovaled and I had to machine it for bushings on both sides. That and a modded shift segment made it worlds better. Check the gears for wear grooves and the dogs for rounded edges.

What about a Hinson basket or hd springs?

dunable override and be done with it. just pull your clutch in when slowing down. Simple

if you want to get your stock tranny modded to shift awesome pm Camatv on here.....he does trans modding and will have your tranny running smooth as butter by the time he is done with it.

I'm going with a 2-5 in mine when it goes back together, but it's not going to be my only atv to ride...
