tylercaz99shee Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I am almost done with my banshee build, but i am running out of cash lol an i need longer tie rod sleeves. i was thinking about making my own, i am alright on a lathe, but i cant find a reverse thread tapt, so i was thinking what if i make like a 2 inch extender that threaded into the sleeve i had, then welded it in, and drilled and taped the outer end. just a thought. what to you guys think? springer Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 i couldn't find a 10 mm left hand tap, so i just ordered a 3/8". just a little smaller, but then you can use studded heims. dont use the cheapo $4 ones though. call rod end supply and they can add a stud to any heim for about $1.75 or something like that. i got the nice chromoly ones for only a little more than those cheapo ones. i am about to order a 7/16" left hand tap set so i can use those too, just have to drill out the stem and spindle tie rod holes.
