banshee07
I live in western Canada and I do alot Slower trail riding, ripping thru mud etc. My shee runs very hot. Actually boils the coolent. Yes i know not good. Last summer I put a 4mm in it and since then I haven't been in the bush/mud for it to get hot. This season I'm gonna install high flow impeller and put engine ice. My question is I've always wanted to install a small fan behind the rad between rad and steering post. I'm curious if anyone has ever done this? If so wat fan did u use. How did u wire it etc. I've looked at a couple 4 stroke race quad fans to see if they wud fit buy nvr spent much time.Any one out there ever try such a thing? rjdgriff
I do LOTS of trail riding and NEVER get that hot, make sure you are jetted properly, if you are too rich it makes it easier to overheat... I know alot of ppl get the cheap oversized radiators and have good luck going that rout, you might look into that
tdod101
More surface area = more air flow. I agree with rjdgriff
