Silver bullet shee Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 So I bought this shee a few days ago and the guy said the lights were working and then just stopped. Has trail tech headlights. Well after looking at the wiring the headlights have a green wire to them that's not hooked up. And there are 5 connections under the gas tank that are unhooked. All wires running into these connections are black, black/yellow or yellow/black.and connectors are filled with silicone. And have no brake light either. Any ideas? Quote
vulvafan537240 Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Those wires are for the tors which you don't need. Ohm out the lighting coil to see if its open or shorted. Could also be the voltage regulator or dimmer switch. Quote

vulvafan537240 Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Tors = throttle override system. Biggest hunka junk ever. It's supposed to limit rpms if the throttle sticks but it usually fails and limits spark so that it will only idle. Quote

vulvafan537240 Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Check light wont read resistance so you won't be able to ohm out the lighting coil but you can check the voltage coming out. Quote
