pal1327 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 I just relocated the cdi on my buddies bike and repainted the frame for him. Let me know what you think. Here is a pic of the bracket I made. Here is a pic of it welded in place. Finished product. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Nice and clean man. Having the Cdi at the back is hideous. Quote
pal1327 Posted January 22, 2013 Author Report Posted January 22, 2013 Thanks! That seemed to be the best spot to put it so no wires are seen. I also ran his taillight wire inside the top frame rail to tidy it up a bit. Quote
Starwriter Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Although it makes it a little harder to work on the carbs, I like it because this way you can plug the stator directly into the CDI. No need for a harness in between. So, where did you put the voltage regulator? Quote
pal1327 Posted January 22, 2013 Author Report Posted January 22, 2013 The voltage regulator is right next to the cdi. Its still pretty easy to work on the carbs. It took up a little room but not too much. Quote
