badbanshee509 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 i know many people who drag race 1/8th mile track and street race that do not run the front brakes, even my mechanic dosent on his drag bike, my bike is only a 4 mil stock cylinder, my question is running the 1/8th i here alot about the front brakes locking up on you after a few passes at high enough speed, i really don want to get rid of my front brakes due to the extra security of stoping, does the locking up of front brakes really happen? and do i really need to do steel braded brake lines front and back brake lines or will stock brake lines be ok? Nightmare Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Lots of guys don't run fronts unless there's very little shut down room. As for the brakes locking up, I've never heard that before. Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2 Quote

troyzstang Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 I think that most racers eliminate front brakes for the weight reduction. Never heard of issues with locking up. Troy Quote
