wiring headlights

Recommended Posts

i just put a HO stator on, and ran an extra set of lights with the extra 100w lead from the stator.  I mounted the regulator where the tors brain box used to go...grounded the regulator(2 wire trail tech) to the chassis under itself(brown i think), and ran the other wire off the regulator tee'd into the 100w lead Before the switch or lights.

Note this is not exactly how mine is hooked up, since im running 4 lights, but it show's how the voltage regulator tee's into the stator lead.  Hope this helps, any questions let me know.

Sorry, forgot all about this thread. If you haven't figured it out already...yes, the blue wire from the reg T's into the yellow wire going to the lights. Your ground is the screw that mounts the regulator to the frame, be sure to verify the screw hole is free of paint/powdercoat. When i put mine back together....I blew a headlight cuz the fresh powdercoat was just barely enough to make the regulator not ground.....ooops.
