slobanshee Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 Iv got some alky left over from the summer. Not alot prolly 20 gal. Is it worth trying to store? Also is there a way to tell if the alky is contaminated by looking at it or anything? Thanks Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 sealed steel container and keep it off the concrete. Quote
camatv Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 put it in gallon milk juggs and burry it in the back yard. then hope the atf dosent come hunt ya down Quote
springer Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 might be ok, but is $45 worth of meth worth the chance of blowing something up?? if the alky is stored off concrete in a sealed steel drum, might be ok, but i wouldn't risk it. maybe i'm paranoid??? Quote
camatv Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 it looses its pep.. i have had alky in a steel drum on concrete and it seemed to hold up fine. but i kept it sealed really good thats the best thing with alky is sealed from the outside. the less "air space" is in the jugg the better. i usually keep my "extra" in the 6 gallon race juggs i have. it holds up ok but when i go back with a nice new fresh drum sure can tell the difference in the way the bikes run. sheerider11 Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 What's the difference on or off concrete? Quote
possum Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 concrete holds moisture. moisture= bad for alky Quote
okbeast Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 I've got mine in the plastic 6 gallon race cans off the floor on a wood table. Hope it lasts. Quote
Paulie B Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 I store mine on 2x4's in the garage.Metal containers are best as long as they don't have metal lids that notoriously don't seal. Quote
