Mattsv8 Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 I wana upgrade to a cool head. My motor is a 4mil 110rod stock cyl 66mmpistons. And soon 34mmpj carbs. Ff fattys power core. What domes should I look for? Looking for best price with domes and nuts washers orings. I fond some 2pc on ebay for 180. But the 1 pc is 169 w washers and nuts. Not shure wich domes fit wich head and how to tell. Quote
So Cal Suspension Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 Domes will vary based on what kind of fuel you want to run, and what compression you are after. Of course there are tons of other variables, but if you're after a pump gas motor, you'll want a little larger dome. 20-21cc's. If you are okay with race gas, 17-19 depending upon your elevation, as well as other factors. There isn't really a textbook "This is the dome you need for this motor". All domes are interchangeable between Noss, Pro Design, and Chariot. Trinity uses their own domes which I would avoid. I pulled the head off of my Cheetah, and both domes were stamped with the same CC, but were two completely different domes. I am not sure about ModQuad. Quote
