Crackcase - how to check if upper and lower are matching

While doing my total motor rebuild on my banshee, I was looking at the two halfs and they don't look to be matching. Is there a way to check if they are a pair. Thanks for any info

back of the cases, theres a hand engraving upper and lower, back right hand side, both sets of numbers and letters should match.right by thr right hand side rear motor mount.
