SpecialEd 05 Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 Hey all. I've been trawling through everybody's jetting combos and I'm wondering if I'll need to go to richer pilots. I've done a top end rebuild, Pro-Lites, Chariot head 21cc domes, T6's, VF3's, Pro-Flow foam filter with lid off, +4 timing. Elevation is 1000' and air temp around 70°F. I'm going to 320 mains, I used to run a vented lid. But do I need to go to 27.5 pilots? Also is stock 25? I see some people with similar mods still running stock pilots. Quote
SpecialEd 05 Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 Probably should add that I'm running the Toomey needles. Quote
dirtydownunder Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 sup ! yeh 25 is stock, and youll be fine with them. Quote
rubberneck Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 agreed with a foam filter 25s should be fine thats what i ran when i had similar mods Quote
SpecialEd 05 Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 Thanks guys. Got some 27.5's on the way so I can have a play. What would determine whether I need them or not? As in how will it feel if it needs more fuel on the bottom? A slight hesitation/flat spot or something? Lean bog? Quote
SpecialEd 05 Posted July 2, 2012 Author Report Posted July 2, 2012 A bit of an update, I'm thinking of running Pro-Design intake manifolds for V Force reed cages (No boost bottle). I'm assuming this will increase the low speed air velocity and give a bit more bottom end. Will this require the 27.5's rather than stock manifolds? Or should I just get a set of Moose Racing polyurethane ones? I do a lot of trail riding so I want to smoothen the transition from low to high a little bit. Quote
