Pflogel1 Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 My 1989 Banshee will start and run fine but won't shut off. Neither the handlebar switch nor the key switch will turn the engine off. I've read that some people have had the problem of the engine revving up and won't shut off, but mine doesn't rev up or anything, it just wont shut off. Even when the engine is cold it won't shut off. I've been dumping the clutch to turn it off. The TORS has already been removed and I've replaced the entire wiring harness and the handlebar switch. Any ideas why it won't shut off? Quote
yzrmbsg Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Sounds like your switches are not grounding properly, the black white wire on the handle bar switch is plugged in correct? Heres the diagram, trace your wires and make sure everything is connected properly. Sent using Tapatalk! Quote

yzrmbsg Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Where do they ground at? Anywhere on the frame. The stock ground is in the back by the cdi bix, and if i remember right, theres one up front near the radiator as well Sent using Tapatalk! Quote
