atcandbanshees Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 Went riding this weekend and broke a rod I have a hot rods 4 mil crank was wondering if you can replace it or if I even should bother and just buy a new one and was wondering what would be some causes that made this happen Quote
toytech Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 (edited) have you recently done any engine work? I had a rod sieze on mine I just bought a new crank. firgured for the extra $100 might as well. Edited May 6, 2012 by toytech Quote
Phelps Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 throw it away. for the price of a rebuild a sponsor can replace it with a equal part for not much more. Quote
BigRed350x Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 I agree with phelps. Plus if your broke a rod, other parts of the crank will be out of whack, and even with a rebuild I would never be able to trust it again. Jared Quote
atcandbanshees Posted May 6, 2012 Author Report Posted May 6, 2012 Alright thanks for the info I think I'm going to buy a new crank Quote
