maskmanLS6 Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 (edited) Ive noticed that my carbs have been requiring a lot more attention than any carbs ive had in the past. They are frequently needing the pilot passages cleaned out, and when i take them apart there is a lot of white chalky looking residue all over the inside of the carbs. Any input on this would be appreciated Thanks Edited May 6, 2012 by maskmanLS6 Quote
Phelps Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 everyone so quick to blame ethanol.... you own a 2 stroke what little bit 10% is not clogging anything with the oil mixed in. i run methanol and rarely purge, or have carb issues and that's 100% alky. yes corn based is not the same as wood based, but it's not the ethanol doing it. if anything enjoy the power increase you are getting from that 10% Quote
Coupelx Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 e10 isnt going to suck up water like a sponge like you are thinking. more than likely the place you are buying fuel from has water in the tanks. Quote
