Zwiser Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Im trying to install my new pads and rotor on the rear but it seems this bulge in the bracket wont allow me to slide the caliper back down. So what should I do? Anybody else have this problem? My clymers doesn't say anything on it. Does this look right? Bulge Quote
Dunes98 Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 I cant tell what that is?? But there should not be anything between the brake pad and the rotor.. Is the the little metal plate the goes on the back of the pad on the piston side?? Just start over and follow the instructions. Hope you get it fixed.. Quote
Motooutcastxxx Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 That bracket with the "bulge" on it should slide back a bit farther than that, can't remember exactly though but I usually pull the bracket off, clean and lube everything up and it'll mount up as it should. On a side note and definitely not a good idea by any means, but on one of my lazy days I have taken that "bulge" to the grinder before too.... just sayin'. Quote
