I just purchased an override transmission, from M&M. What are the springs for and where do the springs go?

The springs are to assist in keeping the gears in a neutral position when you are overriding them. Its to help prevent the bent/broken fork issue that comes with abusing overrides. You should call M&M about where they go and how to install them. Depending on the type of trans you have they will probably go on the shift fork rod between the case and 1 fork, between the two forks, and between the last fork and the other side of the case. You will need to tweak the springs sometimes to get them equalized so they hold the forks in the correct position. Call Andy & he can help you get everything set up right.
