I recently picked up a banshee and it wasnt running. Turned out the rings were shot. I rebuilt the top end and got it half way running. It has stock carbs tors is gone pipes and pods .040 over. Anyhow i was wondering what needles you guys are running that is richer than the stocker. My needles are on the richest setting and I still have a mid range lean condition.

Top end is fresh with new rings after i broke the glaze on the cylinders. Gap on the rings were in spec also. I have run about a tank through it so far. Yes, it is on the stockers. Mains at 320, runs out hard in the top end. Pilots at 30, i think 2 or 2.5 turns on the screw. It runs good down low but when you hit the mid range it starts to come on and right before the power band it hesitates. As far as porting someone had cleaned them up a bit but nothing major. I can run a 330 or 340 main with the needle is the same place and it helps the hesitation but she falls on her face up top.

Alright put in some Toomey needles and it got a little better. I'm at 2600 ft it has 320 mains 30 pilots 2.5 turns k&n pods boysen reeds old school fmf gold series fattys and silencers. Any other suggestions? It has a new cdi box and stator. I have tried different coil and wires. Compression is around 120. Have not done a leak-down.
