I read somewhere on here that a to barring is no good unless you have straight cuts... Is this true??

After the summer in going to send my crank to be true/welded and was wondering about this?

I run a TZ and maxload and dont have straight cuts , I cant see why a better bearing would make any differance .

The problem found is when you run the tz on the pto side without straight cuts. TZ beaings are a roller type bearing and therefore have no resistance to side loading. Your stock helical cut gears side load the crank when you're on the throtte. This can/will exert more force on the rod pin area as the crank is loaded. My recommendation is to run the 10 ball Maxloads with stock gears or a TZ on the stator side not the PTO side.
