Banshee SE Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Could anyone explain the advantage (if they has one) of the Hiper tech 3 dual bead lock over the single bead lock wheels. Why the people prefer the dual bead lock? because they are the new mode??!! or why? Quote
zach45 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 The duel bead locks look better IMHO... But as far as performance... You can literally run that rim with 0psi in the tires and not worry about the tire comming of the rim, or even slipping on the rim. I have single beadlocks because thats what was for sale used... If I bought them new I would go with duel instead of single Quote
zach45 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 An the rings are 25$ each... So instead of destroying the lip of the rim, the rings take all the abuse, 25$ and 12 screws later they look brand new Quote

zach45 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Well the inside is like a normal rim... The out side where the "beadlock" is, it will clamp down on the tire rather then let the air pressure hold it there... Quote
DallasGDub Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Changing the tire on a single beadlock still requires a tire tool and sometimes a bead breaker. Changing the tire on a dual beadlock does not require anything other than a ratchet to take the rings off. Quote
zach45 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 I can push my tire of the bead... After I take the one ring off... Quote
DallasGDub Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 I can push my tire of the bead... After I take the one ring off... Sometimes, but not always the case. I had to use my truck to break the bead on my ITP mxr6. My skats came right off. Quote
zach45 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 I could have got lucky... These are my first beadlocks Quote
DallasGDub Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Could also be that my MXR's were new 18's and the skats were used 21". Quote
