copejarm
Gonna go look at a used crank for $50. He says it came out of a running banshee just curious if there is certain spots to look to see if its bad besides the obvious slop or cracks thanks any info will help
Dahl87banshee
Main bearings. Every used crank I have got the main bearings always seem a little to sloppy. Would like to know how much play is too much. Ive learned just not to trust used cranks if they don't seem right they probably aren't. Of corse that's just me. Maybe it's better then the ones I've gotten
copejarm
Yeah im kinda thinking the same thing $50 is cheap but maybe for a reason. Maybe im just too cheap to get a new one. And that always bites me in the ass. Im never that guy who gets a good product at a screamin deal
ClayAiken
Its a Gamble. OR He has no clue what there worth. Look for cracks seperation play ANYTHING you can find wrong if you do find something wrong walk away.
sheerider11
Or pick it up is you can't see any thing obviously wrong. A true and weld is about 60 bucks. And they look it over for you.
Coupelx
check the center bearings and rod bearings for slop and make sure the thrust washers are in good shape. replace the outers with maxloads and have it welded. profit.
copejarm
Yeah i think ill pick it up cause the one im replacing is welded and im going to have this one welded too so if there is anything wrong hopefully its caught before it gets put in. The guy said he has no clue about motors so hopefully it turns out good and im not getting jerked thanks for the help
