So I bought my banshee about a month ago. It supposedly has a 4mil in it but I haven't pulled it apart to check yet. I'm planning on rebuilding it since compression is 120-110. If it's not already a 4mil, it will be soon. I currently have some rusty ass FMF Fatties on it, I don't really care about the looks since I'll be trail riding in the mud alot. Just wondering if the fatties will be sufficient or I will need new pipes when I put it back together?

if it is a 4mill i would go with something else. ive never heard of fmfs on a 4mill, i have heard good things about pro circuits. if its in your budget, change the pipes. :shrugani:

I run fmf fattys on my 4mil fast dune port, for a while, it run good but lacked on top end.

put R2s on it and wow.

when i got it the guy said it was 4mil, ported, and many other claims. already found out it was NOT +4 on the timing so I don't know what else is true or not. Once I rebuild it, it will be ported for sure.

Exactly what kind of riding are you gonna do? What are you looking to get out of it? Are you looking to be the fastest guy on the block or be able to lug it around in the woods? I've gone fron fatties to pro circuits to Vito's. Didn't notice much between the first two but big different between the pc and the Vito's. A lot faster with the drag style pipes but noticed a big loss of low end. I remember thinking it was gonna suck trail riding with the drag type setup. Just not as much fun to lug around. So there is nothing written that says one pipe or the other "won't work". Any of em will work. You just need to decide what you want to do with bike and use a sutible pipe and if you get further porting do the same.
