My 93 is only firing on one cylinder. I pulled the motor after because putting a new case on it an found the stator was in pretty rough shape. Do you think replacing just the stator would fix this or should I do the while ignition system?

It's not going to be a stator issue. The stator sends juice to the coil and fires both cylinders every 180 degrees of rotation. So if one is firing they should both be firing in theory. If you are really not getting juice to one cylinder i would check your plug wire or the plug itself for starters. Are you certain that it is a spark related issue?

To start, i just picked this thing up as a project. It just got a fresh top end on it from the previous owner. Rode it once and the chain whacked the case real bad. Once He took it apart again only one piston has burn marks. Now I'm fortunate enough to own it :P
