booxzzy
Hi guys,im new here and into 2stroks engines so i have a few questions. Ive got 06 second hand banshee with: -k&n air filter, -fmf power core2 pipes, -280 jets and it has(how i was told) 370cc everything else is stock. Compression is 110 psi after 5 or 6 kicks and it has 11800 rpms max. Im wondering is that setup right and is 110psi ok? i almost forgot to mention im at sea level
dirtydownunder
ay chief ! 110 doesnt seem horrible if it has stock cc domes, or a stock head its fne. i wouldnt be pulling it apart. does your airbox run a lid ? you could be jetted for the warmer weather, winter weather needs richer jets. sheerider11
Well your compression is relative to elevation. Do you know what yours is?
Overdose
I think at sea lvl on a fresh stock top end you should be around 125 - 130psi. So seeing how your topend isn't new I'd say your fine. I ride at 5,000+ ft and a new stock topend up here is only around 100psi new. So I would just ride it and enjoy it maybe play with your jetting and get it really dialed in. Besides if you hang around on this forum it won't be long before you want more power and tear it down for port work and other mods anyways. So ride it and enjoy it.
