I have a 97 banshee that I'm doing a full rebuild of and I'm about to send it to the powdercoater. I'm putting the stock swingarm back on so what do I need to do about the bearings on the front of the swingarm and carrier bearings? Do they need to be removed before sending to the powdercoater? Should I replace all of them? If so where do I get the parts I need?

Hell yeah take them out and hell yeah replace them. If your gonna go through all this why wouldn't you replace them? It would suck to get it all back together then realize a month later you're swing arm is lose. FAST has all OEM parts.

I'd seriously think about just buying an aftermarket "Honda style" round carrier swing arm. (There are a few used ones listing here in the classifieds that would be great.) If your going to spend the money to powder coat the stocker....plus re-do the bearings....it wouldn't be too much more money to just get a new arm. (It will weigh over 10 pounds less!) It will come powered coated and with new bearings. Plus, once you have the round carrier style......you'll wonder why you waited so long.

Yeah, it's more money to spend ....but it will be worth it! :headbang:
