Paulie B Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) What I got is a set of old 10 port Vitos 465 jugs. I picked them up complete with pistons. The pistons are Vitos newer style 68mm big bores. If you don't know they are unusually heavy? The nic either has been redone or looks good. Best part is I only paid $200. I also got a 10mil from TDR, the cheap one. This IS NOT a drag race motor. I'm running stock carbs, PC pipes, stock head, reeds. My question, is it possible to mill down the base and then rechamber the stock head to make up for that? I'd like the exhaust port to be around 180-185. Please don't tell me how much power I'm losing I'm not goin for HP I want the torque. Edited February 24, 2012 by Paulie B Quote

J-Madd Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 Those pistons are a little heavy because the older ones had problems with the skirt cracking. Quote
Coupelx Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 No reason you couldn't. Best bet is to call a builder and ask them if they have done something like this before. Good to see someone doing something different. Quote
Paulie B Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 Thanks guys! I have a regular builder but haven't talked to him yet- I guess anticipation is getting the better of me Quote
