Chip M Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 My clutch basket and primary driven gear look to be in good shape but the gear rotates on the basket about a quarter of an inch. Is this normal? If not, is it extreme wear and should be replaced? I do not race the bike, just use it for weekend fun. Any help would be much appreciated. Quote

Looks like a much better option than replacing the entire unit. Mine is riveted together. Much thanks for the help Quote
sprinklerman Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 No prob. There is a "How To" for this in one of the forums here. This kit has a nice heavy backing plate a real heavy cushions that'll last. Just drill out the old rivets and use the bolts Mattoon sells. Quote
