willardwright59 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 My motor top to bottom:trintiy stave 4 cool head, 20cc domes, wiseco. 020 pistons, mildly ported(trail), +4 on adj timing plate, vf3 reeds, hinson kevlar clutch, hd springs, billit water impellar. Are 32mm flat slides too big? Quote
dirtydownunder Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 smaller carbs would prolly be more beneficial in a "trail" environment. but it depends how you ride, if your WFO all the time, the 32's might be better. 28's would probably be optimal. stockers would be fine. Quote
sprinklerman Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I agree with DDU. Stock carbs are good enough for your setup,if its a trail port. Guys have got 80HP out of a 4mm Serval with stock carbs. I'm sure they will support your engines requirements fine. Now if its a tuning issue and you find the stockers a pain AND you are more comfortable with Keihins, i'd understand switching to Keihins. If you are going to Flatslide mikunis ,i dont see any benefit. BTW: Quote

And for how much? Thanks Quote
Jereme6655 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Wheelman chassis (a site sponsor on here) can do it.... That being said his site (wheelman chassis.com) lists it as $45 per carb for straight bores and $50 a carb for tapered bores. I don't know if there is a disassembly/reassembly fee......it'd be best to check with him to make sure.... Quote
