Kloner Posted January 30, 2012 Author Report Posted January 30, 2012 What would be wrong with it any advice needed Quote
ticktock Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Are the spark plug wire on right? Does it have an adjustable timing plate? Set at 4 degrees advanced. Are the carbs dirty? Does the choke being on help with back firing while riding? What pilot jets do you have? All I can think of ATM. Adam Quote
Bkm2006 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 you need to give more info... whats your jetting. whats done to the motor.. when you did the orings on the coolhead did you coat them in grease? its really easy to pinch an oring.. did you do a leakdown test? anytime you open your motor and reseal id do a leakdown... backfiring and high idle is lean.. whats your pilot jet? how many turns out on the air screw? first thing id do is the leakdown test. Larry's Shee Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Don't know what's all done except for pipes, bore, and cool head the guy i got it from was dummy he aint know shit You aren't coming across as a brain surgeon yourself . Clean carbs one at a time as parts are different. Make sure pilots are pussy clean. When you have them apart write down your jet sizes and clip posistion. Set float height. What do plugs look like? Have you tried adjusting air screw or slides? Quote
Boone Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 When you did the o-rings, did you remove the carbs?? When you installed the carbs... did you Re-install the _____ _____? Anyone want to take a guess? We all should know this answer by now. That just fits his symptoms... I'll give this one a minute... Quote
