UPbansheeRacer Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 bought a set of black fmf fattys and silencers for ice racing just wondering about jetting. i am also putting different heads and v force 3 reeds in it i will be running in temperatures 30 degrees and under do the reeds or heads affect jetting too? Jereme6655 Posted December 9, 2011 Report Posted December 9, 2011 bought a set of black fmf fattys and silencers for ice racing just wondering about jetting. i am also putting different heads and v force 3 reeds in it i will be running in temperatures 30 degrees and under do the reeds or heads affect jetting too? with the jetting it depends if you have anything else done to your motor......what about an air filter? if you have an after-market filter i'd suggest somewhere in the realm of 270-290. the reeds will not need more jetting when installing... im not totally sure about the head.....however i believe you would have to re-jet after that. Jereme6655 Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 for fmf fatties and a aftermarket filter my buddy is runnin 270-280 mains. that being said and it being colder for racin on the ice....id be lookin at runnin at least 300. hell i'd probably start around a 300-320 and plug chop it from there.
