banshee4670 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 I bought my banshee with an aftermarket carrier already on it. My bearings were shot so I put new bearings on it. The problem is that the new bearings are recessed in the carrier and do not sit flush. I do not have the old bearing to measure to order new ones. Should it have two stock bearings side by side or one wide bearing? I am still learning a lot about these bikes so sorry if this is a dumb question. Quote
Coupelx Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 how far in? they should sit a little below the surface and then a seal goes in on top. some carriers are setup for 4 bearings though. so then yes you would need 2 on each side. Quote

It is pretty far in. Definately looks like I could fit two in there. I was just not sure if I needed two or not. Thanks for the help. Quote
shakar Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 (edited) it would help a bunch.......... if you can find who made the carrier. they make duel row and tapered bearings .maybe look around on ebay/rocky mountion and find one that like yours???there pricey though , ah maybe its time to go to a round house set up.........much easier to tighting chain and looks a ton better and i jus so happen to have a roll design one for sale for short money......whats the chances of that huh? wow pm me if ur into it goodluckeither way Edited October 15, 2011 by shakar Quote
