Justinlc3 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I have a 2000 banshee that the I recently purchased. The clutch was hard to pull in when I first rode it and now I think the Clutch Pushrod and bearing has welded. I ordered a boss clutch pusher from Tony Doukas racing, a vito's pushrod and bearing set, and an in case clutch cable lever. My banshee also had trouble starting and I don't have any experience with banshee motors. The guy i got it from said he recently rebuilt it and it is bored with 64.5mm pistons and it only has about 15 hours on it. It also has vforce reeds, boost bottle, and full fmf exhaust. I noticed that when I did ride it it backfired a couple of times in 2nd and 3rd gear, but I'm thinking it was too lean. To make matters worse I tried to fix the clutch problem and in my attempt to remove one of the clutch spring bolts, it snapped off. I live in Jacksonville, fl but my banshee is normally at my mom's house in charleston, SC or savannah, ga and I am trying to find a shop, dealer, or someone close by Charleston or Savannah to take my banshee to and get it checked out and fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Get a Clymers manual or download pdf and fix it yourself. These things are only slightly harder than a tri-cycle to fix A stealership is going to give it to you in the ass w/no lube. 1 Quote
