shadowbanshee Posted October 7, 2011 Author Report Posted October 7, 2011 I would think it would have to be touching it since it is in way farther than the other one. The screws are the same length and I have swapped them out. If I file any more off I will be hitting the threads. Does it really matter at this point as long as I keep a little gas on it to keep it idling? I don't usually leave it idling with me off of it. I also thought about putting a washer or two up in the throttle switch box next to the stop to keep It from closing all the way it works good like that ill just have to solder them on there somehow. Thoughts on this idea? Quote

Thoughts on this idea? Ok try this. Do you still have the jam nut on the idle screw on the left carb? if so pull the nut off & try it with out it & if work then you will need to take more off of the boss. Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I had to change this I wrote it ass backwards and WFO reminded me. Are you sure you have them tapped in the right spot. They will be tapped on opposite sides, meaning that your idle screws will both be on the outside not one inside one outside. (tried saying this before but crossed it all up) Ive seen quite a few people do this and it will not work. Quote
wfobasheeboy Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Are you sure you tapped the same side on each carb. On will be on the outside and the other will be between the two carbs. They both wont be on the outside. Both of my idle screw were on the out side & worked just fine. If one screw is on the in side then it is install wrong. I had to take my boss all the way down to the threads. I was thinking it was to much at that time too. But works fine. Quote
shadowbanshee Posted October 7, 2011 Author Report Posted October 7, 2011 Yes they are tapped right and I already tried taking the locknut off in fact its still off I don't known why its not catching maybe the slide still isn't right but im positive it is because it has that small slit all the way down it that fits in that little notch and there are black burn marks on it from use and its facing the right way.
