SpeedRacer88 Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) I just got my bike back together, its my first time trying atf i bought a cheap walmart brand . through my lockout cover it looks foamy. it flows from both trans vents when hot. i have not lost any performance. havent fouled any plugs leak down was good im lost also temps stay between 160-180 on trail tech Edited September 26, 2011 by kadillacman Quote
apeik Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) did you replace the crank seals? usually when the right crank seal goes bad if will pressurize the tranny case and spit fluid out the overflows. My crank seperated and would leak air while under load cause the crank was moving around. just my 2cents since it's what happened to mine at the end of last season. J-Madd Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 X2. It shouldn't be foamy. Water may be getting in there. Quote
SpeedRacer88 Posted September 26, 2011 Author Report Posted September 26, 2011 well i had a hose leaking so i just fixed that and imma take a lil ride and see if i lose any coolant its white and foamy at the top of the lockout cover lexan, i never ran atf before so i didn't know it was supposed to foam up Quote

SpeedRacer88 Posted September 27, 2011 Author Report Posted September 27, 2011 so a leak between impeller and trans can pressurize the transmission? my temps never rise, i can give that i try easier than crank seal Quote
Larry's Shee Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 might be o-ring on pipe to water pump leaking. Quote
SpeedRacer88 Posted September 27, 2011 Author Report Posted September 27, 2011 good call man that was the hose i had leak... the pipe had spent around a lil.... imma check that might be o-ring on pipe to water pump leaking. Quote
