havoc82 Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Hey guys i really need your help!!! I have a 2001 banshee and only one pipe is getting hot. Ive checked the firing on both sides and its fine, plugs are brand new and has a nice spark. When I put my hand behind the pipe its hardly any pressure at all but the compression is good on that cylinder. Ive checked the carbs numerous of times and they are clean as a whistle!!! HELP!!! SandmanPNW Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 as silly as it sounds, you might just not be getting enough fuel to one of the carbs. If you ran new lines off the petcock they might need to be looked at. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Switch plug wires from one cyl to other, see if problem follows. If it does you have bad wire or cap. Quote
VoOK Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Check the reeds. I had the same issue. Quote
06specialedition Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Few things I would double check: Carb sync clogged pilot jet air leaks I had an issue similar to that and the pilot jet on my left carb had a tiny piece of sand in it. When you pull you pilot jet you should be able to see light through it. Just a suggestion. Quote
